WRITTEN TEST:
There were 3 sections in total..
1)English -25 questions in 25 mts
2) Arithmetic -25 question in 35 mts
3) LR-24 questions in 35 mts
Total 95 minutes 74 questions
English -25 questions in 25 mts
Error correction=5 to 6 questions(go through prepositions,articles) try 2 solve some error problems from here(synonyms/antonyms=5-6 questions(3-4 very simple ones ,2-3 difficult ones)
passages=2 with 5 questions on each (little bit on the difficult side)
Need not 2 b a master of english 2 solve these problems.
just brush up ur grammar.
Try 2 correct at least 15 from this section which is very much achievable.
Arithmetic Part
a)logarithms(4-5 questions)
b)numbers,hcf&lcm,decimal fractions(5-6 questions) i.e first 3 chapters of rs agarwal.
c)probability(2-3 questions). Try 2 do this chapter from rs agarwal as well as from study material of cat aspirants.
d)permutation and combination( 2-3 questions). Try 2 do this chapter from rs agarwal as well as from study material of cat aspirants.
e)3-4 questions overall on time nd work,
f)ratio and proportion
g)percentage
h)profit loss
i)si,ci,alligation.
j)Time and Work
Try 2 emphasize on the above listed topics..although the questions on the famous topics such as time nd work,pl,ci,si,% were very less..don't neglect them.this is a scoring section.
Logical reasoning= 24 questions in 35 minutes
solving rs agarwal(verbal nd non-verbal) is must.important topics are:
-puzzle test(direct question from rs agarwal)
-series completion
-coding-decoding
-direction sense
-eligibility test
-blood relations
